Rotary Sugar Drier		Rotary Sugar Drier For Refined Sugar (Mitrapol Sugar - Thailand)

Many systems are available for drying of sugar such as vibrating hopper, fluidised bed and rotary drier. Shrijee's rotary drier is very effective in drying of refined sugar and plantation white sugar. It consists of rotary drum provided with flights on selected angle to give very effective movement for sugar without disturbing the crystal shine. It is equipped with wet scrubbing system to control sugar dust and fully automatic system for regulating flow of hot air.

Construction

The complete system shall be in carbon steel or stainless steel fabrication from plates. The wet sugar end of drum shall have an anti-spill lip 200 mm deep at an angle of 120deg. to the drier length. The air discharge shall be taken from the bottom of the drier head box. The discharge end of the drum shall be fitted with a 316 S.S. circumferential 10 mm mesh screen 500 mm in length to separate the crystals from any lumps.

Lifting Flights

There shall be helical baffles fitted to the 500 mm of the drum length. There shall be adequate baffles each of suitable height and covering 120 deg. of the drum circumference fitted to lead the Sugar in forward motion.

Drive

The drive shall comprise of an electric motor of suitable directly coupled to a gear reducer and a chain final drive. The drier drum shall be supported by two support rings, running on two sets of trunions. The support rings shall be machined surface. One of the support rings shall run against a thrust roller which shall absorb all the axial loads on the drum. The trunions shall comprise of two steel tyres with plummer block arrangement supported on a base frame. Each trunion bearing shall be provided with individual grease points. The trunion and drive system shall be directly mounted on the civil foundations.
